Here’s my quick and personal opinion on chapters difficulty:Įxodus of the Horde: Easy tutorial mode, except last mission. The particular thing about WarCraft 3 maps is that a lot of them can be easily broken/exploited in one way or another, i mean things like Divine Shield that let Arthas clear altars, using tyrande and mines to kill Archimonde’s base, Malfurion teleporting to Iliidan side(or the same with Sylvanas and Garithos), Couatl very existance, blowing altars with arthas on tft ud mission 1, killing all garithos units and structures on UD TfT 5, Obsidian Destroyers on the last TfT map. Plus adding “siege” turrets when attacking enemy bases is a viable strategy (on a few occasions), i like this. The thing i noticed about most missions is that you are more or less allowed to take an aggressive exp and then sit your on your base while switching into an army and tech that will wipe the whole map clean, with no objective timers or objective progression that force you to speed up your gameplay like it happens on sc2, that being said there is a major focus on micro rather then positioning, since battles takes longer to win and the absurde DPS of sc2 that gets your/enemy units wiped in a second is not present. So i finally replayed all WC3 Campaigns on Hard for the first time in preparation for FailForged and i can finally give my impressions about it, i will split these into multiple paragraphs.
